Latest News (Tuesday, 6/11)

As frustrating as it has likely been for people waiting to hear the latest updates to the church reconstruction to have heard no new news recently, it is equally as difficult for us here in the office, as it has seemed like there has been no progress in a while.  The problem is that the cause is still undetermined.  Many experts have been consulted, including our own Mr. Bissonette, but still no cause has been identified.  It is surprising to us, as we were virtually assured that they would be able to find the cause.  However, this fire stubbornly refuses to divulge its secrets.

However, there is one piece of news worth reporting.  The clean-up crew was given authorization yesterday to start to clean up the ground around the tabernacle and the ambo (the pulpit).  Therefore, the last bit of the church has begun to be cleaned.  They hope to clear the debris and clean everything up over the rest of the week.  This will also remove the last vestiges of the green carpet in the church!  Now, there still exists debris on top of the scaffolding which will need to be cleared, but this is the remaining part of the church itself to be cleaned.

More will be reported as we are able.

I appreciate the regular updates - I look for them daily! I didn't know about this website until after the fire. Glad I found it.
