Early Pictures

We've gotten some pictures from our insurance representative.  We are posting them here to give some ideas as to what the church looks like up until now.  These pictures are mostly taken with an iPhone, and are of varying quality.  But they should provide an overall view of the state of the church.

First, these are some aerial shots of the roof of the church, which has sustained significant damage.

Here are some pictures of the aisles inside the Church.  These earliest pictures show the muck and the carpet, which were then removed.

These next pictures show the old tile that was under the carpet after it was removed.  These tiles were eventually removed as well.

The most recent pictures show the wood sub-flooring underneath the tiles.  We hope to be able to save some of this flooring, but time will tell.

Here's a bird's eye view from the choir loft.  The first picture is before the flooring was removed; the second picture was taken afterwards.

And some before-and-after shots of the pews of the parish.  Note how much they have been cleaned up!

Here's an early picture from the sanctuary near the tabernacle.  You can still see the tabernacle and the sanctuary lamp intact through the rubble.  This is the most significantly damaged section of the interior of the church.

And a picture of the tabernacle and sanctuary lamp up close (they were both covered in cloth for protection from the painting).

And now the sanctuary lamp is intact in the parish center, and the tabernacle is safe in the sacristy...

Speaking of the sacristy, here are a couple shots of the one on right, before-and-after tile removal...

And here's the main sacristy, behind the tabernacle, during clean-up...

To prove that the green carpet is indeed gone, here are pictures of the sanctuary, before-and-after carpet removal.

This is a picture of the stained glass window above the sanctuary that was broken.

And a shot up at the still-intact scaffolding that saved so much of our lower church.

We have a shot here of the sanctuary after the altar was removed.

And undamaged is perhaps the most iconic image of our entire church...

There are a few more pictures of note in the Photos section of the website.
